$2 from each event entry goes into the Ace Pot.

The Treasurer tracks and manages the balance.
Eligibility & Payout Limits

First-Year Members: Prior 12 months

Maximum payout = $500. (Revised 8/24/25)

10 round rule

If a member joined the previous calendar year and has less than 10 Rounds in the prior 12 months: (Revised 8/24/25)

Maximum payout = $1,000.

If the pot exceeds $2,000, payout = 50% of pot.

Ace must be made during an official Men’s Club event.

Payout Rules

Winner receives the Ace Pot minus deductions:

Drinks for all players in that day’s event (charged to SFGC Men’s Club, then deducted from payout).

$250 seed retained to start the next Ace Pot.

If there are multiple aces in the same round:
-
Winners split the pot equally.

The $250 seed is still deducted once.

Carryover - At the end of the year the unsued pot will automatically carry over. A pot accounting will be provided regularly.
Guests are ineligible. In the unlikely event we collect $2 from the guest and they make an ace we will refund them the $2.
Eligible rounds
• Any round where an ACE pot fee is collected, including:
- Club championship matches
- Presidents cup matches
- Shamble and scramble formats
- Out of town events
Excluded rounds
- Any round where an official entry fee is not collected and there is no official event.
