GHIN Posting Rules

Mens Club Tournament rounds

 

Remember, there is no MAX score on any hole in any individual stroke play Mens Club tournament. Ever. Either finish the hole or be DQ'd. 

 

• Max score rules apply only to GHIN posting and are used to control handicaps not tournament scores. 
• Golf Genius automatically applies the World Hdcp System (WHS) max score rules of net double bogey to your tournament score posting.
• Your tournament score will always be posted for you.
• If you post your own score and cause a duplication please email Head Pro Jae Kang at Jkang@sf-golf.com and he will remove it for you. 
• Tournament scores are kept for 12 months. 

 

 

Non-tournament rounds / Self posting - World Handicap System (WHS)

 

WHS applies to non-tournament scores. 

• WHS maximum score is NET double bogey applies.
• If you get a stroke on a hole then
  • A NET double bogey is a double bogey AFTER you apply a stroke
  • If you DO NOT get a stroke on a hole then net double bogey is the same as a gross double bogey. 
  • What this means is you can post a triple bogey on a stroke hole. The max score on a non stroke hole is a double bogey    

 

• 9 hole rounds - 9 holes round should be posted in your GHIN app. They will be kept and matched with other 9 holes rounds. 
• Incomplete rounds - According to the WHS and the SCGA If you play more than 12 holes you must post an 18 holes score. 
  • If you stroke on any of the remaining holes you record a bogey. 
  • if you don't stroke your record a par.
